You may ask, where is the Lost Coast?
This rugged region of the California coast extends from Mendocino County all the way up through Humbolt County at the very top of California. It's well known for its moody and mystical vibes, massive redwood forests, mind-blowing natural beauty, and plentiful wildlife.
We loaded up the rig for a weekend of riding Super73s, hiking, and exploring all that this region has to offer. This is a must-hit region if you plan on spending any time at all on the Northern California Coast.
It's a pretty remote area- it takes a while to get up here, but we assure you it's absolutely worth it. We booked a spot in the Abalone Campground at Sue Meg State Park for the weekend.
Camping in this region is tricky. Spots book up fast, and you have to be very careful about boondocking or poaching a spot due to the region's horticultural activities in the backcountry- STAY OFF PRIVATE PROPERTY.
This area is one of our favorite places in the world. There's nowhere like it, and it's completely wild. Get up there, and get some magic in ya!
